OUR SERVICES
King's Stables serves residents of King's Home along with local nonprofits and community groups. These services include Equine Therapy, Therapeutic Riding, Equine Education, Homeschool Horse Club, and Summer Camps.
EQUINE THERAPY
Incorporating horses into the therapeutic healing process.
EQUINE THERAPY
Equine Therapy incorporates horses into the therapeutic healing process. Our team works closely with residents of King's Home and other groups in activities such as grooming, feeding, and leading a horse. Participants develop skills such as emotional regulation/awareness, self-confidence, social skills, trust and empathy, impulse control, problem-solving skills, responsibility, and more. We provide therapy sessions for those working through grief, trauma, abuse, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and at-risk youth.
THERAPEUTIC RIDING
Therapeutic Riding is mounted horseback riding for the purpose of contributing positively to the cognitive, physical, emotional, and social well-being of people with disabilities through the teaching of horsemanship skills. Individuals, age 4 to adult may come and enjoy group riding lessons at any skill level. We provide therapeutic horseback riding for individuals with cognitive disabilities, physical disabilities, and emotional disorders.
HOMESCHOOL HORSE CLUB
Coming Soon! King's Stables loves homeschoolers! This club was created to fill a need in the community for educational and fun horse lessons that are affordable. Please be aware that this is not a competitive or advanced riding team, but an opportunity for homeschoolers to get together with other horse lovers. Participants will receive one ground lesson and one group riding lesson each visit. Examples of topics covered during lessons: equine nutrition, barn chores, grooming, tacking and caring for tack, training horses, breeds and colors of horses, and more! No experience necessary!
